JOUME WORKSHOP

JOUME ATELIER is a French scarf brand, founded in 2024 by Alice Fraudeau, where each piece is created on demand.

Alice trained in fashion design at La Cambre in Brussels, then joined the Chloé fashion house in Paris in 2018, where she worked with delicate fabrics, especially silk.

She discovered cyanotype on paper, tried it on fabric, and founded JOUME after months of experimentation and design. The brand started at markets on Île de Ré, then opened a boutique in Paris, before selling online.

Cyanotype, a photographic process, is distinguished by its Prussian blue. Each scarf requires three days of work: the fabric is coated with a photosensitive solution, the hand-drawn pattern is applied, then the whole is exposed to the sun. The blue reveals itself during rinsing, with varying intensity depending on the daylight. No two scarves are alike.

GAOPÉ chose JOUME for its sun-drenched scarves, made to order in France. Pieces where each blue is a signature.
